Deactivated M79 grenade launcher manufactured by Springfield Armory in the 1960s and used by the US military in Vietnam, before being replaced by the M203 launcher attached to the M16 rifle. The M79 was used to fire 40 x 46mm grenades, as well as flechettes, which were then replaced with buckshot cartridges, illumination rounds and smoke rounds. Unlike many on the market this is complete and fully original with no missing parts or reproduction parts. This example breaks open, cocks and dry-fires, and the sights can be adjusted and the trigger guard tilted upwards. Supplied with its deactivation certificate.
