Deactivated Short, Magazine, Lee Enfield (SMLE) rifle, manufactured in 1917 by BSA and used in the First World War. This example retains its original woodwork, can cock, dry-fire and strip, and comes supplied with a sling and a magazine with 3 inert .303 rounds in it. The wooden 'fingers' are slightly swollen but rather than swap these for reproduction woodwork we decided to keep this First World War gun completely original to retain its historic battlefield heritage.
