Deactivated Nazi Sauer 38H (first version) pistol in outstanding condition, with its correct genuine holster. The 'H' refers to Hahn, meaning internal hammer. This pistol was a private purchase by Georg Bickel, who had the rank of Scharfuhrer in the SA (the Brownshirt paramilitary group) and a license showing Bickel's permission to carry this pistol provides provenance of its wartime ownership. This example of a 38H can cock, dry-fire and field-strip. Interestingly for an early semi-automatic pistol, it has a decocking lever and so the trigger works on both single and double action modes.
