Deactivated Mauser Bolo broomhandle pistol, officially known as the M1921. The Bolo version was manufactured with a shorter barrel than standard C96 pistols, for the Bolsheviks, and is chambered for the 7.63x25mm Mauser cartridge. The 7.63x25mm is virtually identical with the 7.62x25mm Tokarev  cartridge. Before the .357 Magnum cartridge, the 7.63x25mm Mauser cartridge was the highest velocity pistol cartridge in the world.
