Deactivated Leuchtpistole 34 (Model 34 signal pistol) flare pistol, manufactured by Walther, complete with reproduction holder & cleaning rod, reproduction cartridge bag and very rare and hard to find inert flare cartridges. The cartridges with serrated edges were used at night. The pistol is stamped AC 41 to show it was manufactured by Walther in 1941 and it has clear Waffenamt acceptance stamps. The frame is made of duralumin (an early aluminium), the barrel is made of steel, and the pistol was blued to stop corrosion, but the bluing on this example has worn away over time. This was used not only as a flare pistol during the war but was also used to fire specially designed grenades for close quarter fighting. This example can cock, dry-fire and break open. Supplied with its deactivation certificate from the Birmingham Proof House.
