Deactivated M53 general purpose machine gun. The M53 was the Yugoslavian post-war version of the highly effective German MG42 general purpose machine gun. The M53 is near-identical to the MG42, being built with the same German machinery used to make the MG42 and retaining the 7.92 x 57 Mauser cartridge. Deactivated to UK spec it can cock, dry-fire and strip (apart from the barrel). Supplied with a complete cleaning kit. There is a crack to the plastic by the trigger on the left side and the stock is a bit loose, hence price. Comes with its deactivation certificate from the Birmingham Proof House. Conditions apply (see T & Cs).
