Deactivated Madsen light machine gun, chambered for 7.92 x 57 Mauser. The Madsen light machine gun was the first true light machine gun and was manufactured from 1902 to 1955, in 14 different calibres, with some Madsen LMGs still in military use into the early 20th century. Users included the German Army in the First World War, the Imperial Russian Army in the First World War, the Norwegian Army in the Second World War, the Irish military and the Brazilian Police, where it is still in use. It looks a bit like a Bren with the top loading curved magazine, but has offset sights and a cocking crank rather than a bolt handle. This example, which is in very good condition, can cock, dry-fire and field strip (apart from the barrel) and is supplied with 5 inert rounds. Comes with its deactivation certificate from the Birmingham Proof House. Conditions apply (see T &Cs).
