Inert .45-70 rifle cartridges with struck primers. .45 rifle cartridges were designed for use with 70 grains of black powder and also known as the .45-70 Government or .45-70 Springfield. They came into use in 1873 and was used in the Springfield M1873 and M1884 rifles and are still being produced today to be used as a specialist hunting round, with the Magnum Research BFR revolver being chambered for .45-70 Government.
