Deactivated Winchester 1892 .44 underlever rifle, with a 1915 date and a British acceptance arrow (see photo) for use by the Royal Navy in the First World War. In 1915 the Royal Navy purchased 20,000 Winchester Model lever action rifles for use by armed trawlers and mine sweepers. Some dark green marking on the barrel (see photos). A very rare historic First World War British-issue iconic American rifle with moving underlever that moves the hammer back, moving trigger and a magazine port flap that opens in. Supplied with its UK / EU deactivation certificate from the Birmingham Proof House.
