Deactivated Springfield 1903A3 rifle, chambered for 30-06. This example of the US Second World War rifle was manufactured by Smith-Corona in 1943 (going on the serial number) as part of the first tranche of rifles made by Smith-Corona in the spring of '43. The barrel is stamped 02-43 indicating it was manufactured in February 1943. The difference is date is down to barrels and receivers being manufactured in different batches and assembled later. As an early manufacture Smith-Corona rifle, it has the better quality 6 groove barrel rather than the war emergency 2 groove barrel. This example can cock, dry-fire and strip, and comes with a high quality leather reproduction sling and gun bag. Supplied with its deactivation certificate. Conditions apply (see T & Cs).
